In July 1992, The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, attended a dinner party given by her prime ministers past and present to celebrate The Queen’s forty years on the throne. The venue was Spencer House, ancestral London home of the late Princess of Wales, situated in the heart of St James’s. Pictured from left to right are Margaret Thatcher, Harold Wilson, John Major, The Queen, Edward Heath, James Callaghan.
