Another activity which Queen Victoria enjoyed at Osborne was sketching and painting in watercolours in the grounds. One of her favourite subjects was her expanding family. This watercolour, made by the Queen in 1850, shows her seven eldest children in the Pleasure Grounds at Osborne.
