    Cassiano dal Pozzo served as secretary to Urban VIII’s nephew, Cardinal Francesco Barberini, and either Cassiano or Barberini presumably ordered from Leoni the impression of Barberini’s portrait printed on silk. Cassiano mounted both prints in an album (dismantled in the nineteenth century) devoted to portraits of popes, cardinals and other clergy, ordered in strict hierarchy, from St Peter downwards.
