Frame for RCIN 408372, Egypt, Egyptian funerary stela belonging to Nakhtmontu

RCIN 18052

This frame was made for the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1841-1910), for an Egyptian stela that he acquired during his tour of the Middle East in 1862. The Egyptian motifs around the sight are in cut gesso.

It has been attributed to Foord & Dickinson.
