An album containing 224 drawings by Queen Victoria of her nine children and many of her grandchildren, starting with the birth of her first child, Victoria, Princess Royal, in 1840.

The album is full-bound in red leather with gilt tooling. A gilt title, SKETCHES OF THE ROYAL CHILDREN BY V.R. FROM 1841 TO 1859. is inscribed on the front of the volume. A further gilt title, SKETCHES OF ROYAL CHILDREN VOL. I.
