Napoleon the Little in a Rage with his Great French Eagle !!
20 Sep 1808RCIN 810709
A hand-coloured print of Napoleon standing with his sword drawn on the left as he admonishes a large French Eagle wearing the Imperial Crown and with its foot bound-up with a blue sling. The Eagle is meant to represent Joseph Buonaparte and his French troops who pulled-out of Spain. The eagle makes the excuse that it was the severity of the Spanish troops and the Spanish heat that thwarted the plans for conquest.
