dated 30 Aug 1853

In August 1853 Victoria and Albert visited the Irish Industrial Exhibition, to which they had loaned several works of art. Michael Angelo Hayes does not depict the royal couple but rather the onlookers, soldiers and policemen outside the purpose-built exhibition building awaiting their exit.
