Windsor Home Park: design for the Royal Dairy

RCIN 919774

Prince Albert’s new dairy buildings, built to replace earlier, inadequate facilities, incorporated this interior designed by John Thomas, chief sculptor of the new Houses of Parliament, who also worked on the Audience Room at Windsor (see no. 122). The firm of Minton supplied all the tiles and the central fountains which provided fresh water.
