Prince Albert’s interest in the application of advanced technology to modern design is exemplified by these candelabra by the celebrated Birmingham manufacturer. They demonstrate Osler’s skill in prismatic glass-cutting using power-driven lathes, and like their famous glass fountain, were a much-remarked feature of the Great Exhibition.
