The Czech sculptor Franta Belsky depicted four generations of the Royal Family, from Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to the infant Prince William, over the course of his career. In 1981 he was commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery to make a portrait of The Queen’s head in bronze. Another version this portrait was acquired by The Queen in 1982.
