Over a period of nearly 50 years, from 1930 to 1979, Cecil Beaton photographed almost every member of the Royal Family. After the birth of Prince Andrew (HRH The Duke of York) on 19 February 1960, Beaton was invited to Buckingham Palace where he took a series of delightfully informal photographs of the Royal Family, including this portrait of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh with their children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, and the infant Prince Andrew.
