James 'Jack' Griffiths (1921-2017)

Jack Griffiths, Pilot with the Glider Pilot Regiment (predecessor of the Army Air Corps, of which HRH The Duke of Rothesay is Colonel-in-Chief). Griffiths flew a glider containing Parachute Regiment soldiers, successfully landing on the morning of D-Day. The soldiers went on to destroy bridges over the River Orne.
