Prince Philip is interested in art and design, both as a patron and collector, and as an artist himself. He paints mostly landscapes in oils, including this picture of Duart Castle from the Sound of Mull in the Western Isles. It was painted during one of Britannia’s Summer Cruises around the Western Isles. The atmosphere and light shows the influence of his friend, the artist Edward Seago.
