Pair of tulip vases

RCIN 1085

This vase, along with its pair, was used to display cut flowers and bulbs at Hampton Court Palace. These examples are created from nine stacking sections above a plinth. The plinth depicts a bust of William III and motifs of cupids and peacocks, derived from designs by Daniel Marot.
