Balmoral: Interior of the conservatory

William Wyld’s view shows the interior of the conservatory on the south front of the old castle at Balmoral. The castle was rebuilt for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert between 1855 – 6. Wyld was one of many artists invited to travel to Balmoral to record Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s life in the Highlands.
