The Queen’s younger sister, Princess Margaret, was born at Glamis Castle on 21 August 1930, the second daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York. At the time of her birth she was fourth in line to the Throne. The Princess’s first sitting with Adams was in February 1931, when she attended The Children’s Studio with her mother and her sister.
