A bell-ringing device

A drawing of a bell-ringer device consisting of a man striking at the bell with a hammer, the bell being raised on a stake. The device is operated by a water mechanism with twenty four containers of different sizes, corresponding to different hours of the day. To the right are three diagrams and notes.
