Hilda Montalba was one of four artistic sisters who were all friends with Princess Louise. Hilda and her sister, Clara, visited the princess in Canada in 1879.
The SS Polynesian was an Allan Line steamship which sailed between Liverpool and Montreal on a regular basis. -
