A watercolour showing the South Stack Lighthouse, Wales, from the sea. The lighthouse is shown on it's Island, connected to mainland Wales by a bridge, shown to the right. Inscribed below pasted down sheet: South Stack - Isle of Anglesea - Sept: 4 - 1852. Inscribed lower right: VR del from sketches Queen Victoria and her family visited Ireland from 29 August to 3 September 1853. On their way back they anchored at Holyhead and sailed on the Fairy around the coast to South Stack.
