Buildings are shown in the middleground with fields stretching out behind. Inscribed below pasted down sheet: View from the Drawing room at Laeken. - Aug: 12. 1852. Inscribed lower right: VR. del Aug: 12. 1852. On 10 August 1852, Queen Victoria set sail from Osborne to Belgium on the Royal Yacht, Victoria & Albert. The Royal family stayed at the Château de Laeken with Queen Victoria's uncle King Leopold of Belgium from 12 to 14 August 1852.
