A watercolour showing a view of Cherbourg Harbour from the Royal Yacht, Victoria & Albert. The sea is shown in the lower foreground, with a row of buildings shown on the shore. A hill is shown behind. Inscribed lower left: Cherbourg on board V & Albert March 28. 1876. Queen Victoria made a visit to Baden-Baden and Coburg in March and April 1876. The Queen travelled from Windsor Castle to Cherbourg on the Royal Yacht, Victoria & Albert, before continuing her journey by train.
