A watercolour showing a view of a mountain range, probably in Switerland. After Carl Haag. Jagged, snow-capped peaks are shown across the sheet, with further peaks shown below. Inscribed lower right: VR cop[ie]d from Carl Haag - 1853. Carl Haag accompanied the royal party to Balmoral in the Autumn of 1853, where he worked on a series of commissions for the Queen and Prince Consort. It is likely that Queen Victoria made a copy of one of his earlier drawings during their stay in the Highlands.
