A watercolour showing a view of the River Schelde from the Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert. The river is shown in the foreground, with the riverbank shown in the distance. Inscribed below mounted sheet: In the Scheld [sic] on B[oar]d the Victoria & Albert. Aug: 9. 1865. - Queen Victoria visited Coburg for the unveiling of the Prince Consort's memorial statue on 26 August 1865, staying at the Rosenau from 11 August to 5 September 1865. She left Osborne on the Royal Yacht, Victoria & Albert, on 8 August 1865 and arrived at Antwerp the next day. From there the Queen and her family continued their journey to Coburg by train.
