A watercolour showing two small fisher-boys. One is shown facing forward and the other is shown from behind. They are dressed in fishermen costume, one is wearing thigh boots and a red knitted hat while the other wears clogs. Inscribed below: French fisher-boys, from Dunkirk. Drawn from recollection. PV.del: Ramsgate Dec 1835. Princess Victoria describes her encounter with these fisher boys in her journal entry for 2 December 1835. She met them while waking along the pier with her mother during their stay in Ramsgate from September 1835 to January 1836.
