A watercolour view of the East Front of Windsor Castle with a hand-drawn pencil border. Signed and inscribed in both pencil and ink. Baud was an architect and landscape painter who assisted Sir Jeffrey Wyatville between 1826 and 1840 in the rebuilding of Windsor Castle. In 1842 he published, with Michael Gandy, 'Architectural Illustrations of Windsor Castle', a volume of forty-two prints, including architectural plans, elevations and views, preceded by a written account of the development of the Castle.
