A watercolour showing the 'Thunderer' to the right and another vessel to the left. From 10 November to 3 December 1842 the Queen and Prince Albert stayed at Walmer Castle, at the invitation of the Duke of Wellington; the Queen wrote in her journal that the ship was 'just opposite our windows'. Signed 'H W Harvey'. Inscribed on the mount 'H.M.S. Thunderer, 84 guns, off Walmer Castle, Nov. 1982'.

From Queen Victoria's Souvenir Album, volume I, folio 38. It may, along with RCIN 920275, have been presented to the Queen or Prince Albert by the artist.
