A watercolour showing the Triumphal Arch in the distance. Erected in 1828, the statue of the Duke of Wellington was not placed upon the Arch until 1846. Signed lower left 'CR Stanley'.

From Queen Victoria's Souvenir Album, volume I, folio 15. The artist was paid £122 10s for drawings in September and October 1841.
