A watercolour showing the kennel keeper, Maynard, with eleven dogs under trees in front of the buildings. Maynard was dismissed and replaced by John Macdonald in December 1848. Seen from the Avenue (Queen Elizabeth's Walk), looking south towards the Kennels, which were built in 1841. The old Dairy, replaced by Prince Albert in 1858, is in the distance. Drawn before the introduction of another road in this area, in 1851.
