-
A watercolour study for part of the choir stalls, banners, screen and organ in St George's Chapel, Windsor. Inscribed twice. Squared and pricked for transfer.
This study was made by Hayter, son of the Sir George Hayter, when assisting his father on the latter's commission to paint the christening of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales [RCIN 403501], which took place 25 January 1842. Angelo Collen Hayter appears to have been largely responsible for executing the background of the picture. -
