A watercolour of the Battle of Waterloo, showing three dragoons (mounted infantry) from the 1st King's Dragoon Guards attacking French dragoons, who wear green. The fierce fighting between the mounted regiments was made more treacherous by the wet conditions, which hindered the horses' movements.
