-
A watercolour drawing of an elevation of a domed building with a long colonnade of ten Ionic columns between end blocks, each faced with four Ionic pilasters. In the foreground, a round grass plot with a horseman galloping. Inscribed in pencil on the modern mount, 'Design for a Theatre in Leicester Square', presumably copied from an earlier mount. The sheet is mounted with a grey wash-line border similar to those associated with Paul Sandby's studio. At the lower left corner, blind-stamped with Paul Sandby's collector's mark (Lugt 2112). Inscribed and mounted in a similar manner to RCINs 914591, 914676 and 914708.
