A pen and ink drawing of three standing male figures, one with a patch over his eye. Mounted together with RCINs 914502-10. Sandby often repeated and reused figures in his studies. This drawing is possibly a repetition or tracing. The two old men appear in a bodycolour of the North Terrace looking east, in the collection of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry, KT at Drumlanrig Castle, the pendant to which is dated 1778.

Probably from a volume of 134 figure studies acquired (£35) at the Paul Sandby estate sale, 1811
