A pencil and watercolour drawing of a maidservant, leaning against a table in an interior, with a diamond-patterned window behind. Sandby made many drawings of figures and persons in Windsor and London. The interior is possibly the same as that shown in RCINs 914333 or 914332. The verso of RCIN 914438 is inscribed 'Susan Carrol' and possibly shows the same sitter.
