A watercolour drawing of a standing male figure wearing a grey overcoat, deep crimson coat, red waistcoat and black breeches. In the distance are trees and a second male figure seen from behind. In the upper left corner, the profile of a male head is indicated in faint pencil. Inscribed on the verso in pencil, 'Voules, Wm. D. of Cumberland's bailiff' in the same handwriting as the verso of RCIN 914318. The figure is not wearing the livery of the Duke of Cumberland's household. A similar figure is in a bodycolour by Sandby at the V&A (113-1898).
