A watercolour of a fox-terrier and her puppies. Signed and dated. Barber, an animal and sporting painter, enjoyed Queen Victoria's patronage, and she remarked upon his death that he "had such talent & did so many things for me" (Journal, 28 November 1894).
Provenance
Presumably one of the "watercolour drawings of dogs" for which Barber was paid £26 16s on 1 November 1880
