A watercolour showing a crowd of people in a street, probably in London, in front of a Punch and Judy show. Signed and dated at bottom right: Eckstein 1798.

It and another drawing by Eckstein in the Royal Collection (RCIN 913312, depicting a camel) were reproduced as prints by Eckstein in collaboration with C.F. Sadler (see RCINs 812872 and 812873).Provenance
Purchased by George IV when Prince of Wales from Colnaghi & Co. on 16 April 1800 with RCIN 913312 (RA GEO/MAIN/27145, 'Two Drawings by Eckstein of Punch & Dromadary, £8 8s'). -
