A watercolour of a river flowing through a wooded mountainous landscape: in the foreground, three boats are moored on a tributary of the main river, and several figures are loading and unloading them. A steep, densely-wooded mountain rises up on the left, while two tall trees frame the right side. The river winds into the distance towards a mountain.
