A drawing of a seascape, in the foreground of which one fisherman is pushing off from stakes on a point of land, while the other gets the mast up. On the right several 'smalschips' close-hauled on the port tack in a breeze. Land with a church tower can be seen in the distance.

Lot D188 in the Abraham van Broyel sale of October 1759, where attributed to L. Bakhuizen; bought by Pieter Yver (f.98, with D187); listed in George III's 'Inventory A,' c.1800, p.119 ('Dutch Landscapes'), nos. 39-51: '13. One of the Port of Amsterdam, The last a Sea Flight.'
