Attributed to Vincenzo Tamagni, it is suggested that the sketch is a copy of a study by Raphael for the fresco the Creation of Eve painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the second bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. The sketch bears the collector's mark of Henry Reveley (Lugt 1356).Provenance
