A facsimile of a drawing ascribed on plate to Raphael, formerly thought to be a preliminary sketch for the figure of the man seen from behind standing on the altar-steps in the Disputa (The Disputation of the Holy Sacrament), painted by Raphael in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican between 1508 and 1511. Lettered with date and production details at lower right, and name of Raphael at lower left. Annotated in pencil on the back. According to Ruland (1876), the facsimile was made by Count Morys, and the original drawing was then untraced. Another impression of this facsimile can be found at RCIN 852449.
