A photograph of a drawing currently in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (inv. no.3884v). The drawing is thought to be a copy of a compositional study by Raphael (now lost), preparatory for the lower left-hand group in the Disputa (The Disputation of the Holy Sacrament) painted in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican between 1508 and 1511. Another copy of the Raphael drawing is in the Devonshire Collection, Chatsworth House (inv. no.58a).
A closely related study by Raphael is housed in the British Museum, London (1900,0824.108). Copies of the latter survive in the Szépmüvészeti Múzeum, Budapest (inv. no.F(1898)137) and in the Louvre (inv. no.3974).Provenance
