A reversed engraving reproducing (in reverse) the composition of the so-called La Perla, a painting now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inv. no.301) generally attributed to Giulio Romano (c.1518-19), possibly after a design by Raphael. Lettered at lower right within image with publication details.
Showing the full-length Virgin supporting the Christ Child and resting her right hand on the shoulder of St Anne, with the young John the Baptist approaching the group on the right offering fruit, and St Joseph partially hidden in the background at right; in a landscape.Provenance
