An engraving reproducing the composition of the so-called Madonna del Pesce, a painting by Raphael and his workshop (c.1513-14) now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (see RCIN 850952).
A drawing attributed to Raphael now in the Scottish National Galleries, Edinburgh (inv. no.D5342) closely resembles the engraving, for which it is thought to have served as model. For a photograph of the drawing, see RCIN 850957. For a later reworked state, see RCIN 850956.
Showing the enthroned Virgin holding the Christ Child with both hands, with the Archangel Raphael presenting the young Tobias who kneels down while holding a fish on the left, and St Jerome with an open book and his lion on the right.Provenance
