A hand-coloured print of a bust of Napoleon with a noose around its neck. The bust stares impassively ahead in left side profile and is surrounded by smaller heads that have been piled-up against it. Napoleon's generals, who take the form of satyrs, dance around the bust. In the background, French troops earnestly burn English goods whilst a burning crown of pitch is about to be placed on Napoleon's head. In the foreground lie mutilated and dying troops. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd April 8 1815 by R Ackermann No 101 Strand
