A hand-coloured print of an elderly bald woman having her wig fitted by her maid. The maid is distracted by the amorous attentions of the footman. Meanwhile, the mistress gives out orders to her husband, who is looking for something in a cupboard full of crockery. On the far left, a dog and cat are by the fire. Inscribed in the plate: Rowlandson 1807 / Pubd Novr 20 1807 by R. Ackermann N[o].101 Strand.
