A hand-coloured print of the symbolic representation of Charles Fox's political ambitions. Six faces or phases of Fox are displayed with 'Out of Place in Character'; 'In Place out of Character'; 'As he might have been' with Fox wearing the cap of liberty; 'As he would have been'; 'As he should have been' with a decapitated head; and 'As he will be' wearing the Prince of Wales's Coronet. A later hand-coloured print of a version originally published December 26th 1788 (See RCIN 810296). Inscribed in the plate: Pubd Apl 16 1806 by S.W.Fores 50 Piccadilly
