A hand-coloured print of a 'macaroni' or dandy admiring himself in a large mirror as he contemplates the effects his charms will have on the opposite sex. He holds a posy of flowers and is dressed in the latest fashions. On the right stand the man's servants who look at him disdainfully. The master is further satirised by the depiction of a monkey on a chain, imitating his stance. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd Aug 30 1799 by R Ackerman N 101 Strand / Woodward Del / Etch'd by Rowlandson
