An uncoloured print of a communal dining room in which people are seated at a long table. During the serving of tea, a large bald man is scalded by dregs from a tea pot held by a careless waiter. In the foreground, a man with gouty feet watches, unamused, from an invalid chair. He is accompanied by two ladies, one of whom holds a parasol. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd Januy 6th 1798 by S.W. Fores No 50 Piccadilly corner of Sackville Street / Rowlandson fecit
