An uncoloured print of an evening party in which a young military officer introduces himself to a young woman. The man bows in greeting. On the left is seated a disgruntled older man in an invalid chair who inspects the proceedings through an eye glass. In the background are people playing cards. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd Januy 6 1798 by S.W. Fores No 50 Piccadilly corner of Sackville Street
