An uncoloured print of a game of poker taking place in a tavern. On the right sits a gullible young player, surrounded by more experienced players. In the middle, a large man stands smoking a pipe and holding a punch bowl. Through a hatch in the background, a woman chalks a score. Inscribed in the plate: Painted by T.Rowlandson / Etch'd by J.K. Sherwin / Published 10th April 1787 by E.Jackson No.14 Marylebone Street, Golden Square.
